Introduction

I guess we got so excited about starting a blog that we're a little unsure of how to start the first post...so this is sort of introduction. It all started with an earthquake. I know. It sounds strange to say you started a blog because of an earthquake, but put it this way, that's how the idea first got started. Remember the earthquake in L'Aquila, Italy that happened in April? Well, you see, my friend and I are both planning on being missionaries to Italy. It's not something we just randomly decided to do. God burdened both of our hearts about becoming missionaries there. But before I get into that, the earthquake pretty much shook my life. I literally was grieving for the people in Italy. Also, I looked up as much info. about the earthquake as possible, and then I came along a website called Newsvine, which basically is a place to comment on what's going on in the world and a response to news on NBC.com. It was there that I discovered that so many people don't really know what being a Christian is. They base it all on religion. Christianity--true Christianity--is a relationship with God. It is NOT a religion. So many comments broke my heart. That is why we started this blog. So you can know what the Bible, God's Word, says about Christianity. It gives hope. Hope for now and hope for the future. Do you want to be secure and have true joy and hope and peace? Well, we want to tell you and show you how. Welcome to the Unashamed blog.
